I was 12 years old when the Beatles invaded America and took the stage at the Ed Sullivan show. Already a salesman, I convinced my grandmother to trade the accordion I had been playing since 2nd grade for a guitar -- a Sears Silvertone with an amp built into the case. I've never looked back.
Now in my 70's, I still love exploring new sounds, finding new technologies, and sharing what I do with anyone that will listen. These days I use curated samples, Ableton Live, and whatever else I can get my hands on to craft songs and tell stories.
That is my tale -- what's yours?
On January 24, 2015, I suffered the "widow maker" -- a 99% blockage of my left coronary artery -- while racing a sailboat 12 miles off the coast of Dana Point, CA. By the grace of God (and 2 Navy Seals), I am still enjoying life.
That event changed my world in ways that are hard to describe (come to a show and I'll do my best :) It has taken over 10 years and a lot of learning-the-hard-way on my part but I am happier than I can remember, mostly healthy and - most importantly - I wake up each morning ready for a new adventure, a new sound and a fresh song.
